The obverse of this note displays a portrait of Captain General Gerardo Barrios at the right end with an equestrian statue at the center, and the National Palace in San Salvador behind the portrait at the right. The reverse of this note shows a portrait of Christopher Colombus at the center and ships sailing on the left end, with a black overprint of the Superintendency seal and a newer issue date.
