This listing is for the 1840 William Henry Harrison Presidential Campaign Token Medal.
He was an American military officer, a principal figure in the War of 1812, and the ninth president of the United States. He gained national fame as the "Hero of Tippecanoe" following his victory over Native American forces led by Tecumseh's brother at the Battle of Tippecanoe in 1811. His political career included roles as the first governor of the Indiana Territory and a representative and senator from Ohio. In the 1840 election, running under the slogan "Tippecanoe and Tyler Too" with vice presidential candidate John Tyler, Harrison won the presidency. Tragically, he died just 31 days into his term, making his presidency the shortest in U.S. history. Interesting Find!!
