The reverse also states GRAM. 5 and LEI 835, telling you directly that the coin weighs 5 grams and is 835-fine silver. The name “Estados Unidos de Venezuela” was the country's official name from 1864 until 1953, so the wording on this coin is a great snapshot of Venezuela during that period.
