1939 U.S.S. Gleaves Launch Bath Iron Works Maine Real Photo Postcard - WW2 Navy Destroyer RPPC - Rare Antique Naval Ship Sepia Postcard

This listing features an Antique 1939 Launching of USS Gleaves Bath Iron Works Maine Real Photo Postcard (RPPC). This postcard is unsent and blank but the photo was taken on the launch day of U.S.S. Gleaves in Bath Iron Works on December 9th, 1939. The postcard features a sepia toned photograph of the US Navy destroyer U.S.S. Gleaves during its launch in Bath Iron Works, Maine. Rarer sepia photograph, having brown/reddish tones, rather than a lithograph like other contemporary postcards. Excellent rare postcard documenting an interesting period of history!
