This listing is for the photographed 1939 Republic of Türkiye 2 1/2 Lira Banknote. Issued during World War 2 by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey under the Law of 11 June (Haziran), 1930, but the note itself was issued sometime in 1939. Series B22. The obverse of this note depicts a portrait of President Kemal Atatürk on the right end. The reverse of this note shows the Monument of the Square of the Nation at the center. The watermark of this note is of a profile portrait of President Kemal Atatürk. Fine (F) grade/condition, visible folds and signs of circulation, as pictured. Excellent piece of history, great addition to any collection! Rarer early issue of Turkish banknotes from this bank. Unique denomination, adding to the notes value. P#126 (Pick Number 126).
