This listing is for the 1980 Mexico 20 Pesos 10% Off Center Strike Mint Error. This vintage 1980 Mexican 20 Pesos "Cultura Maya" coin features a striking and highly desirable 10% off-center mint error. Struck in a durable copper-nickel composition, the obverse and reverse designs are noticeably misaligned with the planchet, leaving an unstruck, blank crescent-shaped rim that beautifully showcases the mechanical anomaly during its production at the Mexico City Mint. The reverse design proudly displays a detailed depiction of an ancient Mayan ball player (Jugador de pelota) alongside the "CULTURA MAYA" inscription and the original "$20" denomination.
