This listing is for the photographed 1929 Syria 1 Piastre. Seen on the obverse of the coin is a wreath made of oak and olive tree branches with a whole in the center with Arabic and Latin lettering reading "دوَلة سورية ETAT DE SYRIE ," meaning "State of Syria State of Syria". The reverse features two lion heads and branches of olive tree with Arabic and Latin lettering reading "غرش وَاحد 1 PIASTRE 1 1927 · ١٩٢٧," meaning "One Qirsh 1 Piastre 1 1936 · 1936". Very Rare Middle Eastern Coin!
