This listing is for the photographed 1942 Japanese Occupied Burma 1 Rupee Note. This issue has the prefix BD, with the letters 69mm apart, differentiating it from other similar issues. Note is in Extremely Fine (XF) grade/condition, great crisp note with little to no signs of wear. Great piece of history and an excellent addition to any collection! P#14b (Pick Number 14b).

The Japanese invaded British-Occupied Burma (present day India) in January 1942 during World War II. They held Burma until the second allied campaign of 1944, officially surrendering in 1945. In 1942 the Japanese Government issued paper currency in the denominations of 1, 5, and 10 cents, and 1/4, 1/2, 1, 5, and 10 Rupees.
