This listing is for the West End Dairy 1 Quart Fat Free Milk Trade Token.  The West End Dairy operated throughout the 1900s, delivering milk and cream door-to-door until 1968. The family farm, now known as the West End Creamery, has since transitioned to an agritourism business (ice cream, pumpkins, etc.), but still works the original land. Used as a form of pre-payment for home milk delivery. Customers would purchase tokens in advance and leave them out with empty bottles for the milkman, eliminating the need for cash transactions at the doorstep. This system also served as a low-cost form of advertising and encouraged customer loyalty to a specific dairy.
