This listing is for the School of the Holy Rosary Hot Lunch Token. In the late 19th and early 20th centuries, Catholic education in Quebec grew rapidly under the guidance of religious orders. A prominent order, Les Sœurs de Notre-Dame du Saint-Rosaire (The Sisters of the Holy Rosary), was founded by Élisabeth Turgeon in Rimouski, Quebec, specifically to establish and teach in parish schools across French-speaking communities. These tokens were used at the school for their hot lunches. Interesting Find!!!
