This listing is for one Authentic 1862 City of Richmond 30 Cents Fractional Obsolete Note. Issued in Richmond, VA on April 14th, 1862. Signed and issued. Rarer denomination of these obsolete notes! Banknotes like these were crucial to boosting the local economy during war times, but it was difficult for many cities and states to find affordable printers and resources for the banknotes as the war raged on, leading many states and cities in the confederacy to remove the intricately designed vignettes commonly found on obsolete currency.
