This listing is for one Buddhist Amulet, as pictured. During a trip to Thailand in 2022, I met with a number of antique dealers and other people knowledgeable about these amulets to learn and better understand their meanings and origins. I spoke with members of the Karen tribe (north of Chiang Mai) specifically about the amulets photographed. According to those that I spoke with, the consensus was that this amulet is from the Lamphun Province and is between 800 and possibly up to 1200 years old.

What this type of amulet brings: life protection, avoidance of danger, brining blessings and possibly wealth / prosparity, preventing evil spirits from entering your life, protection from dark magic, brining loving kindness, changing bad luck to good luck, fulfillment.

A Thai Buddha amulet (In Thai: phrakhrueang), sometimes referred to academically as "votive tablet", is a type of Thai Buddhist blessed item. It is often used to raise funds to help the temple's operations. A Thai Buddhist monk will give an amulet to Buddhists as a "gift" after they donate money or offerings to the temple. The amulets are then no longer considered a "gift", but a "tool" to enhance luck or blessings in different aspects of life. Local Thai people also use amulets to improve their marriage, wealth, health, love, and relationships.

Almost every Thai Buddhist has at least one amulet. It is common to see both young or elderly people wear at least one amulet around the neck in order to feel closer to Buddha.
