This listing features a Lot of Seven 1900s Abbotsford, Scotland Black and White Photograph Postcards. All postcards are blank and unsent. They date to before 1907 as identified by the lack of a dividing line on the reverse side of the postcards, as these only began to be added after 1907. The cards each portray a different view or room of the Abbotsford Castle in Scotland. Abbotsford became well known as it was the historic family home of the famous novelist, poet, and historian Sir Walter Scott (1771-1832). The scenes included in this lot include two outside views of the castle, and one of the entrance hall, library, armory, drawing room, and study. All photographs are printed in black and white. These postcards are part of the popular Valentine's Land O' Scott Series, making this nearly complete set of Abbotsford postcards in this series a highly sought after find! Amazing souvenirs from an amazing historic home and popular series! Great addition to any collection.
