The obverse of this note shows a portrait of Louis Pasteur on the left end, a view of the Pasteur Institute on the right end and designs of plant motifs and grape clusters bordering the note. The reverse depicts the same portrait of Pasteur on the right end, the stature of the Shepard Jupille on the left, and test tubes, a microscope, and other scientific instruments in the background with rabbits, sheep, and roosters depicted in each corner of the note.
