Featured on the back is the writing "Terra Catacombe Roma" meaning that the brown in the middle is dirt from the catacombs of Rome. St. Cecilia was a 3rd century Christian women who refused to give up her virginity despite being forced to marry a pagan man. It is believed that during her wedding she sang directly to god. She would later convince her husband and his brother to convert to Christianity, which all three were sentenced to death by beheading, causing her to become a martyr for her religion.
