This listing is for the Antique Victorian Era Handpainted Porcelain Portrait of Ruth Gilded Pendant Brooch. The piece features a detailed, hand painted piece of porcelain that features a depiction of the Biblical character Ruth, which looks to be done after the popular depiction of the character by Charles Landelle in 1886, as it features Ruth in a similar outfit to the one she wore in the original Landelle painting. The piece is set within a gold gilded ornate frame with a c-clasp mechanism, dating the piece to the late Victorian period. The piece can be worn both as a brooch or a necklace pendant. The porcelain and metal backing are both in excellent condition, making this a perfect antique addition to any collection! A true relic of the Victorian era!
