This listing is for the photographed Vintage Nils Johan Swedish Silver-Plated Sugar/Ice Tongs. Extremely interesting antique by Swedish silverware company Nils Johan (Nilsjohan). Item has a floral pattern on the finger holds of the tongs as well as a blossoming flower pattern on the grabbing side of the tongs with SWEDEN written on the inside. Nilsjohan was a Swedish manufacturer of kitchen accessories. The company was founded in 1888 as Nilsson och Johansson, but changed its name to AB Nilsjohan in the 1950s. Their products were associated with the 20th-century Folkhemmet movement. The brand was later acquired by Iittala.
