1944 Germany 1/2 Mark 50 Pfennig Note - Allied Military WWII Issue - 1944 German Half Mark Fifty Pfennig Allied Military Banknote - P#191a
This listing is for a very well preserved 1944 1/2 Mark German Banknote issued by the Allied Military in the final years of World War II. This issue has an "F" printed in the bottom right corner of the ornament border, along with a 9-digit serial number, meaning that it was printed by Forbes Lithograph in Boston, MA. Serial number starts with 0, meaning that it was issued in the British Zone. Extremely Fine (XF) grade/condition, no visible folds and minor tape residue on the upper corners, as pictured. P#191a (Pick Number 191a). Excellent piece of history and a great addition to any collection!
The "AM-Mark" (Allied Military Currency) was issued in Allied-occupied Germany during the Second World War. There is a printing mark used to determine which side printed each note; the United States printed notes included an "F" in the lower right corner of the ornament border, and the Soviet Union printed notes did not include the mark. These notes were circulated until 1948.
Thanks for stopping by!
