This listing is for the photographed 1945 Japanese 1 Yen Consecutive Serial Number Bank Notes Trio. Issued by the Allied Military towards the end of WWII. Three notes with consecutive serial numbers, a rarer find for these notes! Serial numbers for this listing are A14891759A, A14891760A, and A14891761A. Notes are "B Yen" and have the prefix-suffix A-A, differentiating them from other similarly issued notes. All notes are in Uncirculated (UNC) grade/condition, no folds or other signs of circulation! P#67a (Pick Number 67a).

Allied Military Currency was issued in newly occupied lands of the Allies during WWII in order to gain monetary control. The Allies issued both "A Yen" and "B Yen" in Japan and surrounding areas as a part of this effort. "A Yen" was restricted for military use only, whereas "B Yen" was used by local civilians. "A Yen" was only circulated from 1945-1948, but "B Yen" was circulated until 1958 when the currency was replaced with the U.S. dollar.

These notes provide fascinating insight into the economic dealings of world powers in World War II, and being of rarer find, are a must have for any collection!

Thanks for stopping by!
