This listing is for the photographed 1903 British 1 Pence. Great coin for a collection. Only 17,000 of these silver 1 pennies were minted in 1903, making them very scarce today. I am personally surprised that they are not more expensive given their relative rarity.

The coins are legal tender, but recipients typically keep them as keepsakes. The tradition of Maundy money dates back to the reign of Charles II in 1662, when the first undated set of coins was issued. The monarch gives Maundy money to a select group of people in a ceremony on Maundy Thursday, which is the Thursday before Easter.
