This listing is for the photographed 1961 Iceland Sedlabanki Islands 10 Kronur Banknote. Issued on March 29th, 1961. Choice of the order of signatures on these banknotes. The rarer, first issue order of signatures shows the signature of Jon G. Mariasson on the left and Johannes Nordal on the right (P#42a.1). The second issue signature order flips these signatures, with Nordal on the left and Mariasson on the right (P#42a.2). The obverse of this note shows a portrait of the Enlightenment leader Jon Eiriksson (1728-1787) on the left end, and a sailing trawler at the center. The reverse displays ships docked in Reykjavik harbor at the center, and the Iceland coat of arms framed by the banks name, Sedlabanki Islands, in the lower left corner. Choice Very Fine (VF+) grade/condition, some visible signs of circulation. P#42a.1 or 42a.2 (Pick Number 42a.1 or 42a.2). Great addition to any collection! Beautiful note.
