This listing is for the photographed 14 Karat Sand Dollar Charm - .23 Grams - 11 mm All Around. Cool small 14 Karat Gold Sand Dollar charm weighing .23 grams and measuring 11 mm all around. Sand dollars are believed to be lucky talismans of peace, prosperity, and resilience, as well as have been depicted as mermaid currency. There is an old Christian legend about Sand Dollars and is often called the Holy Ghost Shell. The legend goes that they are related to Jesus on the cross with the 5 slits on the dollar resembling the 4 nails impacting Jesus on the cross with a 5th one being from the spear, and the top pattern of the dollar relating to Easter Lily's and the Star of Bethlehem, and when broken open the five inner pieces symbolize doves of peace. Stamped on the back of the charm is ""14K".
