This listing is for the photographed Zuni Red Coral Inlay Shield Split Ring - Size 5. Pretty sterling silver split ring featuring a red coral inlay stone centered in the middle with unique Zuni markings and designs surrounding it. Stamped on the inside of the ring is "Sterling Titos". Coral has been used by Native Americans for at least 600 years in art and jewelry which was brought to them from Europeans arriving in their travel to the New World. The use of coral was used heavily by the Zuni tribe in the southwest. Large historical piece of jewelry.
