This listing is for the Vintage Yale & Towne "Yale Junior" Pair of 2 Keys. To capture the mass market, Yale acquired competitors like the Miller Lock Company. Miller manufactured cheaper, less secure locks. Rather than selling these cheap locks under the main "Yale" banner—which would hurt their haughty, premium reputation—the company created the "Yale Junior" sub-brand. The "Yale Junior" label allowed the company to leverage its famous brand name to drive sales while signaling to consumers that the item was a lighter, economical version of the real thing.
