This listing is for the photographed 1905 National Currency 5 Dollar Blue Seal Note. This note was issued by the Jefferson County National Bank of Watertown, New York, which had the charter number 1490. The note was part of the 1902 Series of National Banknotes, but features an issue date of June 20th, 1905. The note was signed by Lyon and Roberts, as well as the cashier and president of the local national bank. This is the later printing of these national currency notes, as it does not feature the dates "1902" and "1908" on the notes reverse like other issues. The front of this note features the portrait of President Benjamin Harrison on the left end. The reverse shows a vignette of an artists depiction of the landing of the pilgrims at the center. Fine (F) grade/condition, visible signs of circulation, as well as multiple tears through the note, including one that separates the note into two pieces, as pictured. Despite its very circulated condition, the rarity of this note still makes it an incredibly sought after find among collectors!
