This listing is for a 1872 Masonic Penny from Winchendon Massachusetts. These token were used as Fraternal tokens meaning they were used as passes to gran access into meetings. The Obverse of this token states "One Penny" In the middle and surrounded by that is that date this was instituted that being June 11th 1872, surrounding the perimeter of the token it says "North star Royal Arch Chapter" and the location being Winchendon, Mass. The Reverse depicts the lettering "H.T.W.S.S.T.K.S." inscribed between the two center circles on a keystone with a mallet on the right and a chisel on the left. the lettering translation is "Hiram the Widows Son Sent to King Solomon."
