Bronze commemorative Presidential token of Franklin D. Roosevelt, and "A New Deal". The token has been modified to be a pendent for a necklace or other jewelry. No date, but the estimated time of production is in the 70's.
This commemorative token was made by the Scovill Manufacturing Company of Waterbury. Scovill was established in 1802 as a button manufacturer and is still in business today. Scovill was an early industrial American innovator, adapting armory manufacturing processes to mass-produce a variety of consumer goods. Among the many different products produced by them, is this commemorative token. Other items in the shop were also made by Scovill, including a New Hampshire militia uniform button recovered at UNH (University of New Hampshire).
