This listing is for the photographed Antique 1855 Berea College Sterling Silver Charm. Berea College is a small HBCU in Kentucky established in 1855 by Reverend John Fee who believed in a school equal for all. By preaching his anti-slavery sentiments in Kentucky, a very pro-slavery state, he attracted the likes of Cassius M. Clay, a wealthy landowner in Kentucky. Clay would offer Fee some land he owned to use for his ideals. The school remains to this day as a HBCU.
