This listing is for the photographed 1826 P 5 Centesimi Kingdom of Sardinia Coin. The Kingdom of Sardinia was ruled by the House of Savoy and later became the core state that unified Italy in the 19th century. Coins of Charles Felix were struck during a period of political conservatism following the Napoleonic Wars. Seen on the obverse is a large 5 denomination within a laurel wreath with the date 1826 below and reading on the Latin legend around the rim: "FELIX D.G. REX SAR. CYP. ET HIER." meaning "Felix, by the Grace of God, King of Sardinia, Cyprus, and Jerusalem." Seen on the reverse is the crowned shield bearing the Savoy eagle, an oak wreath surrounding the arms and below the wreath "MV" indicates the Turin mint engraver's initials.
