This listing is for one 1939-D Wheat Penny, as pictured. "D" mint mark, denoting the Denver Mint.

The Lincoln cent has been struck by the United States Mint since 1909. The obverse or heads side was designed by Victor David Brenner, as was the original reverse, depicting two stalks of wheat (thus "wheat pennies", struck 1909–1958).

This 1938 Wheat penny is a fantastic piece of history (as they all are). The 29th year of production, the coin is a necessary addition to a collection, and makes a great gift.
