This unique Keepsake of New Hampshire's famous old man of the mountain carving is a piece like you've never seen before. Made locally many years ago and stored safely away, hidden in a national bank safety deposit box, it now sees the light of day again. This handmade piece is unfinished, potentially from a grandparent or relative who passed before completion. But it is still a unique New Hampshire piece!!!

The Old Man of the Mountain,  a natural rock formation in Franconia Notch, New Hampshire, was a profile of a human face that was a state symbol and major tourist attraction. Discovered by white settlers in 1805, it became nationally famous after Daniel Webster wrote about it and Nathaniel Hawthorne wrote a short story. Despite decades of preservation efforts, including chains and steel rods, the formation collapsed on May 3, 2003, due to natural erosion from freezing and thawing.
