French Indochina, officially known as the Indochinese Union, was a grouping of French colonial territories in Southeast Asia until its demise in 1954. It was comprised of present day parts of Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia.
These coins were issued in several denominations with the a seated lady Liberty design on the obverse (front) and the specific denomination on the reverse. The 10 cent denomination is the smallest, and the piastre is the largest (about the size of a US silver dollar).
