This listing is for a Trust in the Lord's Mexican border service, So Called Dollar Medal 1916. This 1916 Medal, also referred to as the So-Called dollar, was issued to recognize the service of soldiers during the border war. The Mexican border war caused the deployment of troops, which was a response to the action of Mexican revolutionary Pancho Villa. This Medal commemorates service along the border between Jan 1st, 1916, and April 6th, 1917. The troops were stationed in various areas such as Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and California. Although this was not a formal government-issued token, it was a way to acknowledge the service of soldiers involved. Unique find from WW1!
