All notes were issued in the years during and shortly after World War I when Austria experienced a time of extreme inflation. The notes in this lot are 10, 20 and 50 Heller. They were printed and issued by many different municipalities across the country after WWI. Most Austrian localities issued these typed of notes, resulting in many varied and specific Austrian "notgeld" from this time. Amazing find, excellent piece of history! Emergency money printed in Germany and Austria immediately after WWI is widely known as "notgeld".
