This listing is for the Antique New Haven Clock Co. Mini Ogee Eight-Day and Thirty-Hour. The New Haven Clock Company was founded in 1853 in New Haven, Connecticut, by clockmaker Hiram Camp to supply brass movements to Chauncey Jerome's massively successful Jerome Manufacturing Co. After Jerome went bankrupt in 1856, the New Haven Clock Co. stepped in, acquired the entire operation, and began manufacturing full, complete ogee clocks under their own name. This stunning wall-mountable 8-day and 30-hour clock features a unique piece on the door that features a masted sailing ship surrounded by an ornate, stenciled gold border. The clock has the original pendulum, but there are two keys that come with this clock; neither is the original, since when it arrived with us there was none, but both keys that come with it are tested and fit properly within this clock. The clock ticks and rings on the hour properly, but sometimes the pendulum stops swinging, and it gets stuck and frozen; besides that, it does function; it just might require some repairs.
