1900 The Forth Bridge Postcard, Edinburgh Scotland - The Wrench Series No 212 - Antique Scottish Postcard

Antique Circa 1900 Postcard featuring the The Forth Bridge, Edinburgh Scotland. This postcard is unposted but has the writing "July 11th 1900" on the reverse. This postcard is titled "The Forth Bridge". The Wrench Series postcards were published from 1900-04 by (John) Evelyn Leslie Wrench, and from 1904-06 as Wrench Postcards Ltd. Wrench went on to work for Lord Northcliffe's newspapers, including the Daily Mail, and to launch the English-Speaking Union in 1918. He was knighted in 1932.

The postcard was printed before 1907, as it has an undivided back, a trait only seen before the postal service allowed for divided postcard backs to be issued.
