Vintage Waterbury Clock Co. 8-Day Schoolhouse Wall Clock - Repair Required School House Vintage Wall Clock

This listing is for the Vintage Waterbury Clock Co. 8-Day Schoolhouse Wall Clock. This clock features a traditional wooden octagon frame surrounding a 10-inch dial with Roman numerals. Below the face is the signature "drop" pendulum section, equipped with a small access door decorated with a reverse-painted gold-circle border.  This is an 8-day, spring-driven mechanical movement that is wound with a key via the winding holes on the front face. The original key and pendulum are present within this piece. This clock is stunning but, unfortunately, will require repairs for it to be used functionally. We took a closer look at it, and all the parts are present for a proper restoration, but the main issue is that it stops ticking every few minutes and needs to be nudged to restart the ticking. Hence, this requires a restoration to be used as a clock again, but for now it remains a stunning piece of history. Great find!!!
