The note has a partially printed date; "de 18", making it a rarer issue compared to later fully printed date issues of the 20th century. The center of the note displays a hand holding 8 flags. Very circulated, muted imagery and has become fragile with age. This note is 125 years old this year! Interesting and rare piece of history, a must have for any collection! El Banco International de Guatemala was founded in 1877, becoming the first private bank authorized to issue official Guatemala bank notes.
