This listing is for the Vintage Teapot with Engraved Bird and Foliage, by George Richmond Collis & Co. this teapot is a silver-plated hollowware piece with an engraved design. The main body of the pot features a decorative pattern of foliage that surrounds an image of a bird, which appears to be a cockatoo or a parrot. The lid has a similar engraved leaf pattern and is topped with a finial that has a light-colored, possibly ivory or bone, element. The spout and handle are both polished and have simple, clean lines. The base of the teapot is also decorated with an engraved border. Beautiful Find!!!
The Country Belle radio phone, Model 556, is a novelty tube radio manufactured by Guild in 1956 that is designed to look like an antique wall telephone. It features a solid pine cabinet with an "Early American" lacquer finish and stenciled branding. The radio's controls are cleverly integrated into the telephone's design; lifting the earpiece from its hanger turns the unit on, and a decorative crank on the side is used for tuning. While the bells and mouthpiece are purely for decoration, small wooden knobs are used to control the volume and tone. This wall-mountable radio is an AM superheterodyne model with a ferrite loop antenna and is powered by a standard AC cord.
This specific Country Belle Model is slightly damaged and has a crack on the back which can be repaired/stapled to ensure it stays intact. this model is also missing one of the two bells on the front and the side handle is missing and damaged.
