The Bangor and Aroostook Railroad (BAR) was a major rail line in the state of Maine, established in 1891. It was built to connect the remote northern regions of Maine, particularly the agricultural and forested areas of Aroostook County, with larger markets in southern Maine and beyond.
Incredibly interesting and well-preserved piece of history! A must have for any collection!
