Very rare holder type. Gen 2.2 PCGS Holders were issued for only about a month (December 1989 to January 1990), Gen 2.2 is the final "transitional" plastic-collar slab. It features the outer ring and four clear alignment pins of the Gen 2 series, but uses a smooth, non-perforated label like Gen 3

The specific blue-green hue is a well-known chemical instability of the label dye from that specific two-month printing window. Slabs with this strong color variance are highly sought after by PCGS Registry Set slab collectors.
