This listing is for the photographed 1944 Bank of Japan 100 Yen Banknote. This note has only one red stamp in the left bottom corner of the obverse, differentiating it from other issues. This note also has a Pheonix watermark, the rarer watermark issue of the notes made in 1944. Obverse depicts Yumedono (The Hall of Dreams) of the Hōryū-ji tempel at the left center, and a portrait of Prince Shotoku at the right center. Reverse shows the Hōryū-ji temple at the center. Issued during World War II, excellent piece of history! P# 57a (Pick Number 57a).
