This listing is for the photographed 1979 Banco de Espana 1000 Pesetas Banknote. Issued on October 23rd, 1979, in Madrid. This note has a rarer serial number format for this series, beginning and ending with a letter and consisting of 6 digits (P068424D). Obverse of this note depicts a portrait of Benito Perez Galdos on the right end, the Spanish coat of arms in the upper right corner, and a dragon tree plant under printed at the center. The reverse side of this note shows a view of Las Canadas (Tenerife) at the center, a map of the Canary Islands at the lower center, and a fragment of "Zaragoza" by Galdos in his handwriting in the upper right corner. Very Fine (VF) grade/condition, some visible folds and other signs of circulation. Great piece of history and an excellent addition to any collection. P#158a.4 (Pick Number 158a.4).
