This listing is for the photographed Sterling Silver Tribal Aztec Warrior Face Charm. Cool sterling silver charm featuring a carved onyx Aztec warrior face centered in the middle and surrounded by beautifully crafted beads and other metalwork. The Aztecs both revered their warriors as well as the onyx stone, which is abundant in Mexico and surrounding countries. The Aztecs warriors were feared combatants as well as religious, spiritual, and social leaders by their own right, with two of their highest warrior societies being the Eagle and Jaguar warriors. Onyx, being heavily abundant in the area, became widely used by the Aztecs and other South American cultures as weapons or tools, ceremonial and religious practices, and art.
