The history of the JJ jewelry trademark, owned by Jonette Jewelry Company was at 185 Eddy Street, Providence, beginning in 1944. The Lisker brothers named their company in honor of their parents, John and Etta. Jonette Jewelry Company went through bankruptcy and a merger in the late 1970s. In 1979, Jonette Jewelry Company had the trading name Fidelity Pewter Ltd, and Satisfashion (since 1988) owned by Orson and Brusini Ltd. The final dissolution of Jonette Jewelry Company took place in 2013. This vintage JJ Jonette jewelry piece is a detailed, real estate-themed figural brooch crafted with a bright gold-tone finish. The design features a rustic wooden signpost complete with textured faux-woodgrain patterns and sculpted flowers climbing up the base. Hanging from the main crossbeam is a rectangular plaque displaying a raised illustration of a house alongside the text "FOR SALE". Articulated metal loops dangle a separate, movable lower plate that prominently reads "SOLD". Interesting Find!!!
