Includes three 50 pfennig notes that have varied reverse designs displaying various historical events. The historical events shown on these notes are from the years 1640, 1342, 954. This is an incomplete set, as it only has 3 of the 6 notes in the series. Uncirculated (UNC) grade/condition, crisp notes! Excellent condition and an interesting piece of history!

Notgeld was a form of emergency currency that was issued by individual German municipalities or institutions immediately after the First World War when Germany was experiencing a severe economic depression. Most notgeld contained an expiry date, after which the note was deemed invalid.
