This listing is for the photographed 1944 Japanese 10 Sen Consecutive Serial Number Banknotes Pair. Two notes with consecutive serial numbers, a rarer find for these notes! Serial numbers for this listing are A06378216A and A06378217A. Notes are from the B block and 100 series of Japanese Allied Military notes. Crisp Uncirculated (UNC) grade/condition, no folds or other signs of circulation. Great find for these types of notes! P#63 (Pick Number 63).

Allied Military Currency was issued in newly occupied lands of the Allies during WWII in order to gain monetary control. The Allies issued both "A Yen" and "B Yen" in Japan and surrounding areas as a part of this effort. "A Yen" was restricted for military use only, whereas "B Yen" was used by local civilians. "A Yen" was only circulated from 1945-1948, but "B Yen" was circulated until 1958 when the currency was replaced with the U.S. dollar.

These notes provide fascinating insight into the economic dealings of world powers in World War II, and being of rarer find, are a must have for any collection!

Thanks for stopping by!
