This listing is for a 1975 Twenty Centavos 13% Off Center Strike Error Mexican Coin. The obverse is the Mexican coat of arms: a Mexican golden eagle standing on a prickly pear cactus devouring a rattlesnake. At the base of the cactus, there is a holm oak (Encino) branch on one side and a laurel branch on the other. The reverse depicts the Value, Portrait of Francisco Indalecio Madero to the right. An off-center strike occurs when a planchet is misaligned between the obverse and reverse dies at the moment of striking. Because the planchet is not fully centered within the striking chamber, only part of the design is impressed. Interesting Find!!
