Very Rare Sodality of Our Lady Medal Pendant - Catholic Medal - Religious Charms - Holy Queen Blessed Mary Medal

This listing is for the photographed Very Rare Sodality of Our Lady Medal Pendant. This wonderful pendant features the Virgin Mary and written above her in Latin is "Regina Advocata Et Mater" meaning Queen, Advocate, and Mother, referring to her roles as Queen of Heaven, Advocate for Humanity, and Mother of Christ/the Church. The backside features the symbol of the Roman Catholic association called the Sodality of Our Lady or of the Blessed Virgin Mary, having three Greek letters intertwined: Chi, Rho, and Mu, the first of the two seen as one of the earliest written forms of Christ, and Mu referring to Mary. Written around the Sodality symbol is, in Latin "Sodalitas Mariana Primae Primariae Romanae Aggregata," meaning Sodality of Our Lady, the First and primary, Aggregated to Rome. This Marian association was created by father John Leunis in 1563 at the Roman College, now known as Pontifical Gregorian University.
