This listing is for the photographed Vintage Big Ben Westclox Red Compact Clasp Travel Alarm Clock. Made in China, likely painted red from silver, as there are minor chips in the paint, as pictured. Battery operated analog clock mechanism. Approximately 3.5" tall and 2.5" wide. Front cover clasp opens and folds back to be used to hold up the clock on a table or desk. Amazing unique find in working condition!
Works, new battery!
The Westclox company first began making Big Ben alarm clocks in 1909, evolving in style, size and mechanisms overtime. The company shut down in 2001, ceasing the production of Big Ben alarm clocks. Travel alarm clocks such as this one became popular throughout the mid-century, proving handy for businessmen and others who travelled frequently.
